		<description>During the Depression  my grandmothers regularly fed the homeless who came to their doors. Though  they both had many children, limited resources, and extended family members staying in their homes, they always found something to share with the stranger at the door.  They were not unusual; lots of good people did the same. I can only hope that if we face hard times again, we will remember how the people before us handled it.

I have been saying this also:

This is how we have been kept in control. Keep us divided, hooked into mediums which further seperate us, and remove local community as being an effective sharing point. And the end result are the thrown elections in America and slow erosion of freedom.

Untied we stand, divided we fall...

in the  United States where being an individual is most important, we were divided and have fallen...
