Thanks, arby,

I credit the Tao with helping to restore my sanity after my manic episode. My Tao studies brought me back from some really dark places, and I tend to return to it again when I'm feeling like I'm slipping into my darker edges again. I'm combining that lately with studying Jung to help get into those archetypes that seem to be more difficult to reach consciously.

Had an interesting dream last night - we appear to have moved from destroying and rebuilding houses in my dreams to working on entire cities now. We were busy laying siege to a city last night, when the princess and her entourage showed up and we had to disperse and hide out among the populace of the town. It was entertaining watching some of the macho male characters of my psyche hiding out in the local gay bar. The rest of us went to the food court for lunch.

It is a bit weird to rarely be in my dreams by myself these days. I seem to have acquired my own entourages, sometimes friends, sometimes parts of myself that sort of hang out with me in my dreams now. Very entertaining.

Donna -
I can't say how glad I am to see these TAO/mythology pieces again. I love not only your sharing what you find in your reading but just as much your take on them. Your were doing these daily when I found your blog a few years back. I appreciated your need to grow and articulate your other beliefs in this blog space, but I did miss your keen eye in this area. I read the works of Deng Ming-Dao and Jung with my own long appreciation of them but your views have always add to the mix to create a really rich soil to meditate on. Thanks!

Yes, to me life is sacred, and so no particular activity is any less sacred than another, if you hold the right consciousness, and then you need not regard the goings on with much solemnity.

Solemn people are no fun at all, anyhow.
