Best Faire Favor Ever!

You’re all looking at my squid now, aren’t you?
One of my 25th anniversary presents, (hey, the 25th IS silver, after all!) from a lovely day at the Ren Faire… I guess I’ll keep him — the husband and the squid!
The jeweler, Da’oud Thompson, was very enthusiastic about my purchase, too!

He’s a little grabby there, huh?
The faire season is just getting started here on this side of the country. My best friend makes little wooden crossbows that shoot mini marshmallows, and he’s been in his workshop for weeks stocking up for the season.
I promised the girls that we’d go to at least one faire this year. I’m going to have to make them new dresses; they’ve outgrown their old ones…

Hmm. He looks a little TOO enthusiastic. :)

Nah, he was just joking around. I think he really enjoyed having someone admire his work so much, though. Me too! ;^)

Ah, Mrs. Chili, would love to get to the Faires on your side of the country sometime, too!
Your girls are going to kill there in a couple of years. I tried to get my 19 year old red-head son to dress up and go, with his long red locks, but he refused yesterday. He has no clue yet how adorable he is. ;^)

It was great seeing you both Sunday. Sorry we got separated after the joust. We wound up heading out at about 5pm, the heat was getting to us.
Our schedule is pretty busy and I don’t know if we’ll be able to make the Escondido Faire, but if we do, I’ll let you know.

We left around five, too. Looks like you saw a lot of the same sights we did on the way out, from your pics.
Yes, you do keep a busy schedule! I don’t know how you find the time for all the things you do!
